Kruger - March 2001

On this trip we went for a game walk in the Kruger National Park and stayed in a hut on the trail. The great excitement was when we were charged by a black rhinoceros with a baby. The ranger bravely shouted and the pair veered off into the bush. Unfortunately the camera I had at the time was far too slow to capture the action. Shortly after that we came upon a herd of buffaloes and that caused some concern although I think they resemble cows in that they are curious and pay close attention to anything different.
